Well as you can probably tell, we are home again and the trip is over - how sad!
Over the next few weeks I'll fill in a few of the blanks from the trip, add photos etc, and go over the gear that really made the trip.
The food and gear on the whole really worked well and the light weight of our packs made for great travelling and certainly generated some interest out on the trail.

Rock & Roll Biv
After a fairly easy walk along the plains and across Junction Creek, with some rain, we arrived at the foot of Moraine A.
A couple of very uninviting boggy tent sites really didn't look that good - so Stevie suggested we sleep under a large boulder - well, it was the driest place around!
The pack load was fantastic - both Stevie and I commented we had never felt so good on day one of a walk with ten days of food on board!
Our stretch woven soft shell jackets did a great job of keeping us dry in the at times heavier rain - with no need to break out the hard shells this early in the trip.

Light Loading Tassie!
All going well Stevie and I will hit the trail to walk the west, then east Arthur range in Tassie this Saturday.
With a bit of work, we have our pack weights down to around 16kgs for the 10 days. Full food for 10 days, about half food for two more.
If you want to keep track of our progress, then stay tuned to the blog - we will be updating it each night with our SPOT Messenger .

We'll be starting at Scotts Peak Dam, and aiming to finish at Farmhouse Creek 10 days later.
Wish us luck!
